JP Psychotherapy was founded on a principle that shouldn’t be unique but somehow is. Therapy should always combine premier clinical rigor with the flexibility and genuine relationship that private practice allows.
We’re growing a highly curated team of clinicians who share core values: evidence-based practice, genuine engagement with clients, and the belief that growth happens through thoughtful challenging as much as support.
If you’re looking for someone to validate you weekly without expecting real work, we’re not a good fit. If you want a skilled partner who will challenge you while staying in your corner, you’re in the right place.
We don't force you into a single therapeutic model because we learned about it in grad school. Research findings, years of experience, and hundreds of clients served, all point to the same place: we’ll only ever offer you what actually works.
To us, true partnership means far more than blindly supporting you. You’ll be challenged to actually experience your emotions, not just analyze them. To actually develop and practice new patterns, instead of just noticing them. If you’re willing to do the work, we’ll match your effort as a trusted teammate every time.
Our goal is to equip you with insight and skills so you can navigate life's challenges without needing weekly sessions forever. What matters is that we're always working toward your independence, not creating dependence. We regularly assess progress, adjust timelines, and prepare you for life after therapy.
We work with thoughtful, high-achieving adults who value excellence and are ready to engage fully in their own growth. Our clients tend to be self-reliant, often averse to showing vulnerability, and need to know that the risk they’re taking in asking for help will yield actual, observable change.

Jennifer is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with expertise in providing both short- and long- term psychotherapy to individuals and couples seeking to address a variety of issues and mental health concerns.
Jennifer started her career working in acute inpatient psychiatry treating individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, suicidal behaviors and self-harm. There, she developed specialized skills to support crisis intervention and management, deescalation and mental health stabilization. She went on to spend several years in a local outpatient clinic providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples and small groups. During this, she became certified in several of today’s leading evidence-based therapies and honed her expertise in treating a spectrum of presentations, from every day stressors to more chronic conditions.
Jennifer has also since developed curriculum and taught several graduate level courses at Boston College. Today, she leads consultation groups, supports emerging and established clinicians, and teaches resiliency workshops throughout the country as part of her ongoing mission to promote excellence in the field of mental health.
You're not a passive recipient of treatment. You're an active partner in decisions about your care, your goals, your journey, and your progress. We respect your expertise in your own life while offering our expertise in the change process.
We maintain the highest clinical and ethical standards through ongoing training, consultation, and evidence-based practice. We use proven approaches, ethical decision-making, and accountability to operating strictly within our scope of practice.
As your teammate, we’ll meet you the quiet moments of vulnerability and risk-taking. We'll offer you understanding, appreciation for context, and the space to arrive at your own conclusions. Then, we'll invite you to stretch to new places.
We provide affirming care regardless of identity, background, orientation, or circumstance. Our clinicians are trained in cultural humility and identity-informed therapy.
We adapt evidence-based approaches to meet you exactly where you are. We're not bound by rigid protocols when flexibility serves you better, but we never abandon clinical rigor for convenience.
We believe in your capacity for change while being honest about what that change requires. Hope isn't blind positivity, it's acquired through consistent effort and realistic expectations about what you can do.
Our practice specializes in working with thoughtful, driven individuals and couples who are stuck overfunctioning and have become too self-reliant. This means you might be:
We see clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, trauma, burnout, and the general challenge of building a life that feels meaningful rather than just functional.
We’re here when you’re ready to move beyond coping and into real, lasting change. The consultation is free, the conversation is honest, and the decision is entirely yours.
Serving clients in the Greater Boston Area and throughout the State of Massachusetts (MA), Connecticut (CT), Florida (FL) and South Carolina (SC).
